Michigan Equine Partnership Annual Meeting & Dinner

APRIL 30 INGHAM COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS

Lansing, MI – Michigan Equine Partnership, an organization dedicated to energizing a grassroots coalition representing all facets of the equine industry has scheduled the 2006 Annual Meeting and Dinner. The membership meeting and election will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2006 at the Ingham County Fairgrounds, Community Center in Mason.

The general meeting and election will be held at 3:00 p.m. (Sponsored by Michigan Harness Horseman’s Association) with a 4:00p.m. social hour (Sponsored by Jackson Harness Raceway) and dinner at 5p.m. (Sponsored by Equine World Insurance).

Mr. Doug Darling, Chairman of the Michigan Agricultural Commission will serve as keynote speaker. Governor John Engler appointed Darling in 1995. Doug and his family, farm 1100 acres, raising crops and steers, in the community of Maybee, Michigan. Entertainment during the social hour and dinner will be a singing and comedy group, Three Outlaws and a Good Guy, with classic cowboy music. The 2006 Michigan Rodeo Queen, Claire Pickup, will also be present.

Following dinner, auctioneer Doyle Dingman of Charlotte will conduct a live auction with many varied items of equine and other interests. The meeting is open for everyone to attend and dinner tickets are $25.00 per person. All persons who have a direct or in-direct interest in equine should attend.
